Sooo....

The week was kind of uneventful, except for one event. National Honor Society inductions were on Thursday. I had two sponsors which confused me. I didn't know what was going on! Now I am officially a member of the National Honor Society. Do I feel special? Yes, yes I do.

The band trip to New York is right around the corner. Meaning this Friday. I am totally stoked for the trip itself. We may even go to see ANDY SAMBERG! Well, actually, only if he is in the the studio. I hope he is. I am not stoked for performance. In fact, I am quite nervous. I thought last wednesday we made a lot of progress. I even thought that we sounded semi-good (with the exception of a few MAJOR parts). Then the recording came on. What I thought was good music turned into music with uneven breathing, sloppy runs, and awkward solos of silence. I am not even exaggerating. With one rehearsal left with the whole band, and only four rehearsals with the band minus about six members, I don't see how that much improvement can be made.

My whole entire Honors/ A.P. U.S. History class failed our test. No, we did worse than failing. We bombed it. Murdered it. In order for most of the class to get semi-passing grades, he had to curve the grade 56 points. Not four points, five, or even ten. 56. That was worse than our mid-term, when it was neccessary to add 40 points. Our tests were so bad that he didn't even look at our essays and short answers. According to his logic, that would of made things worse. I see that that logic would only be true if everyone bombed the essays. But, he didn't even bother looking at them. Just for the record, I think I did pretty well on my essay.

While on the subject of school, I think I should also mention how my biology teacher posted that I got 21/70 on a lab. That is a whole 35%. Of course, I found out that particular grade the night of the sophomore dance. I was crushed the whole night. So the whole entire week I am waiting to get back my lab, filled with red marks, and topped with a "see me" note. The big day came. He was passing back our labs. So I got my lab back, and it wasn't filled with red marks (well maybe there were a few) and there wasn't a "see me" note in sight. I actually got a 59/70 on the lab. So I told him that, and he was like "not-uh" and I was like "yes." So he changed it. How could he have mistaken 21 for 59? HOW?!

HAPPY COREY?!
